What to Be Inspected
DQC provides rigorous third-party inspection services that cover every critical aspect of fabric quality. Fabric inspection normally covers the following items:

Quantity verification of ready fabrics

Shipping marks, labels, inventory stickers and packing method

Conformance of quality to technical parameters and specifications

Cuttable width, and actual roll length vs. label length

Fabric GSM (actual weight per unit area)

Color shading inspection: side-center-side, end-to-end, roll-to-roll and lot-to-lot

Verification of bowing, skewing to avoid sizing distortions in finished garments.

Visual defect inspection in accordance with the 4-Point System
After inspection:

We will calculate defect points and grade the fabric rolls / pieces accordingly.

You will receive a professional inspection report with digital photos.
Four-Point System
DQC adopts Four-Point System as a standardized methods for fabric Visually Inspecting and Grading, unless others method (such as Ten-Point System) required.
Four-Point System, as a standard under ASTM D5430, has received widest acceptance in fabric inspection due to its practical, impartial, and worldwide recognized. In four-point system, defect in both warp or fill direction is assigned points under the following criteria:
1 point – Defects ≤ 3″
2 points – Defects > 3″ ≤ 6″
3 points – Defects > 6″ ≤ 9″
4 points – Defects > 9″
Any defect of a continuous nature shall be assigned four points for each yard in which it occurs. Severe defects are assigned the maximum four points for each yard in which they occur. Example: regardless of size, hole would be penalized four points.

We have streamlined our inspection service into a clear, efficient 5-step process designed to provide you with timely, transparent, and actionable results, from your first inquiry to the final report.

(2) DQC confirms the service and send a quotation.
(3) Client confirms the quotation, and arranges the payment.
Regular clients can skip inquiry/quotation process, and settle payments periodically as agreed after inspections.
(4) DQC contacts factory to confirm inspection schedule.
(5) A qualified inspector prepares inspection.
(6) DQC inspector arrives factory for inspection.
(7) All findings are meticulously documented with photos and notes.
(8) DQC completes the report after inspection.
(9) Client will receive a comprehensive photo-based report within 24 hours after inspection.
(10) Questions and concerns raised by clients after receipt of the report.
(11) DQC responds to clients’ questions and inquiries, provides the data and expert insight.
