A Factory Audit is a systematic, in-depth evaluation of a potential or existing supplier's manufacturing facility, management systems, and overall capabilities. Its primary goal is to assess the supplier's qualification, reliability, and risk level​ before establishing or continuing a business relationship. It goes beyond product quality to examine the systems and conditions that enable production. ​ A comprehensive Factory Audit typically examines the following critical aspects: Company Profile & Legality Production Capacity & Facilities Quality Management System (QMS) Technical & R&D Capability Supply Chain & Subcontracting Management

Initial Production Inspection (IPI), also called First Lot Check for fabric quality control. The 1st Lot Check is performed when the 1st lot of fabric​ has been produced on the main production lines. This provides a sufficient sample from the actual production process, not just pilot samples. ​ An IPC typically focuses on verifying: Materials & Components:​ Confirming correct fabric construction, color shading, handfeel, weight & width, same as approved sample, and to be reference sample for the rest lots. Visual Quality: Check visual quality with the Four-Point System, to confirm the 1st lot fabric conforming customer's quality requirement or meet public recogernized perforance standards. Packaging/Labelling (Early Stage):​ Reviewing the proposed packaging materials, packing method, and labeling​ for correctness.

During Production Inspection (DPI or Dupro), also called In-Line Inspection (In-Line).  The DPI can be started approximately 20% to 30% of order quantity​ has been produced on the assembly lines. This timing is crucial as it allows for a representative sample from the ongoing production flow, not just the initial setup. According to the order quantity and 1st DPI finding, the DPI can be arranged more than one time till 80% of products finished.  ​ DPI focuses on the process and the work-in-progress. The inspector will typically: Stationson the production floor. Varify Key Inspection Points: construction, fabric appearance, shading bands, hand feel, labeling and packing conditions. Review factory's In-Process Quality Controls (IPQC):​  Assesses whether the factory's own in-line QC are being performed effectively.

Final Random Inspection (FRI), also called Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI).  The FRI is usually conducted after all manufacturing is finished, typically when the order is 80% to 100% packed. It must be scheduled after the factory's own final quality control (FQC) is complete but before the goods leave the factory. ​ Four-Point System is appied for each inspected rolls. ​ Key Inspection Points: Quantity verification. Packaging & labeling. Product conformity. Visual defects.

A Container Loading Check (CLC), also known as Loading Supervision (LS), is the final physical verification in the supply chain, conducted at the factory or warehouse loading site. Its primary goal is to ensure that the correct goods, in the correct quantity and condition, are securely and appropriately loaded into the designated shipping container(s)​ to prevent loss, damage, and discrepancies during transit. By taking photographic evidence​ of the empty container, the loading process, the fully loaded container interior, and the final sealed doors, the inspector supervises the entire loading operation, focuses on:   Quantity & Cargo Verification: Verifying that the total number of cartons/packages​ matches the shipping documents (e.g., Packing List). Performing random quantity checks inside selected cartons​ to ensure the correct number of pieces per carton. Cross-checking carton/package markings and shipping marks​ against the purchase order and shipping instructions.   Loading Procedure & Cargo Security: Ensuring the container is clean, dry, and structurally sound​ (no holes, severe rust, or odors) before loading. Supervising the loading method​ to prevent damage: proper handling, no crushing or throwing of cartons. Verifying that loading follows a secure and safe method to prevent cargo movement and collapse during transit. Checking that weight is evenly distributed​ and does not exceed the container's maximum payload.   Sealing & Documentation: Witnessing the application of the container seal​ and recording the unique seal number.
